Attention skiers and snowboarders: The Mammoth Mountain Ski and Snowboarding trips are back!
Lower Campus: February 1-4, 2024
This trip is open to middle school students in grades 6-8
How do two days of deep snow, groomed runs, and terrain parks sound? How about warm condos, your best friends, and riding in a tour bus with movies? Relax in the game room at night and play foosball, Ping-Pong, and pool tournaments. Learn about ancient bristlecone pine forests, water wars in the Owens Valley, and the Manzanar Internment Camp.
If you would like your child to go on this trip, please print and complete the OVS Mammoth Trip Acknowledgment of Cost Form and return it to Mr. Wallace, along with a deposit payable to OVS. Please be aware that there are a limited amount of spaces on this trip and reservations are held upon receipt of deposit on a first-come, first-serve basis (check, cash, or a credit balance from a student personal or sundry account). Credit cards are not accepted for this trip.
The average cost of the trip is approximately $750 for a child and $850 for a teen. This estimate includes luxury coach transportation, three nights of condo lodging, all food (including a $20 cash allowance for lunch at the lodge each day), lift tickets, and rentals. Exact student costs will vary depending on their individual circumstances (age, lift ticket, and gear rentals). Lessons are available at an additional cost. For safety, first-time skiers and snowboarders are required to take a lesson on the first day (approximately $260). Rentals and lessons will both be arranged as the trip approaches. The exact cost for each student will be calculated after the trip. Any credit, or balance due, will be posted to your child’s sundry account.
We are looking forward to another great trip! If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Wallace at dwallace@ovs-archive.ihwy.com.
