Surf’s up! This winter, OVS students have enjoyed great weather and frequent trips to the Pacific Ocean for surf trips. Beginners and experienced surfers alike have enjoyed time together, paddling out in the surf and cooking breakfast over a camp stove at the beach. Freshman photographer Eva Tseng captured a recent weekend trip with the Upper Campus surf club, known as the “Dawn Patrol.” Check out her pictures in the website photo gallery.

Students in grades PK-8 celebrated the end of the first semester last week with traditional Class Hikes into the nearby Sespe Wilderness. Elementary and Middle School students trekked to and from destinations such as Matilija Canyon, Turtle Pond, Piedra Blanca, Lookout Laura, Howard Creek, the Ventura River Preserve, and Middle Lion Campground.
